Focusing on the folk narratives, the article highlights the cultural symbolism of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ as representations of the agricultural community's worldview - expressing a longing for the harmony between Earth and Water, community solidarity, and awareness of ancestral roots. From this perspective, the article proposes a systematic collection and textualization of these folk sources as an essential part of Vietnam’s cultural heritage that deserves preservation and promotion. The questions addressed in this study are: Was Tuệ Trung Thượng Sĩ the person who created the ideological foundation for Vietnamese Buddhism in the 13th - 14th centuries? Why did he have such power? Which aspects of Vietnamese Buddhism in the 13th - 14th centuries were influenced by his thoughts? Using analysis and synthesis methods, the author has identified that Vietnamese Buddhism in the period XIII-XIV was colored by Tuệ Trung Thượng Sĩ's teachings and practice methods. Furthermore, to fully understand, the author has consulted many existing historical and Buddhist documents. The findings show that Tuệ Trung Thượng Sĩ had a crucial role in the spiritual and ideological aspects of the orientation of Trúc Lâm Buddhism even the fact that he did not take a particular part in directly participating in building and administering the Buddhist system. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and content analysis of social media platforms. The findings reveal that Gen Z does not passively consume traditional music but actively reinterprets, revitalizes, and shares it through digital means. Although they do not frequently listen to this genre, Gen Z still highly values its cultural significance. The study highlights the crucial role of technology as a strategic tool in cultural communication, enabling more effective engagement with younger audiences. These findings offer practical implications for the preservation and sustainable development of Vietnamese musical heritage in the digital era. The research employs a combination of document analysis and quantitative survey methods using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. A total of 120 students were selected through convenience sampling, ensuring diversity in gender, academic disciplines, and year of study. The findings indicate that students generally possess a positive perception of the cultural and spiritual value of Mother Goddess Worship. However, actual participation remains limited due to a lack of experiential opportunities and insufficient support from educational and social environments. The study emphasizes the crucial role of youth in preserving and promoting this heritage in the context of modernization. Accordingly, the study proposes several practical measures: integrating content on Mother Goddess Worship into university curricula through interdisciplinary modules or seminars; organizing field trips and experiential learning activities at prominent Worship sites such as Phủ Tây Hồ and Phủ Dầy; and developing creative digital media campaigns (e.g., videos, infographics, social media content) tailored to students' communication habits. These strategies aim to narrow the gap between cultural awareness and behavioral engagement among young people. By employing fieldwork methods, participant observation, and interdisciplinary historical approaches - through the lens of folklore studies - this article explores the Buddhist heritage of Thanh Hóa as represented in folk literature and traditional festivals. The findings aim to highlight the distinctive value of Buddhist cultural heritage in Thanh Hóa within the broader flow of Vietnamese Buddhism. It elucidates how the organization of language effectively conveys emotion, expresses inner sorrow, and reimagines the character's image within the work. The study concentrates on symbolic vocabulary, artistic epithets, and especially the technique of defamiliarization in linguistic construction, thereby uncovering the artistic depth of Ai tư vãn. The poem is viewed not merely as a tragic lament of an individual or a private sorrow but as a symbolic discourse representing the era and the flow of life. Furthermore, by combining historical context and comparative poetics, the article places Ai tư vãn in relation to Chinh phụ ngâm to “re-evaluate” the literary value of the work. The analysis reveals that it is precisely the construction of mournful language that gives Ai tư vãn its profound poetics depth. The language used is not only a tool for narration but also a medium for depicting inner states and conveying symbolic, expressive meanings. This study proposes considering Ai tư vãn as a significant artistic linguistic phenomenon within the continuum of medieval Vietnamese literature. The fusion of modern music with traditional culture gives rise to melodies that are rich in national identity while still retaining a contemporary spirit. This combination facilitates greater engagement with the younger generation (Gen Z) and enhances their appreciation of cultural values. To clarify the relationship between music and identity, as well as how Vietnamese youth use music as a means to connect with and preserve national cultural identity in the era of globalization, the research team employed a quantitative method through surveys of university students regarding their perceptions and attitudes toward traditional music. This was combined with a case study approach to conduct an in-depth analysis of two musical works - “Bắc Bling” and “Đào Liễu” - based on criteria such as musical elements, imagery and social messaging, societal and media impact, and cultural - social value. The research findings reveal that the younger generation is not indifferent to traditional culture. On the contrary, they are actively engaging in creative processes that incorporate traditional elements into modern music. These musical productions not only shape new aesthetic preferences but also foster intergenerational dialogue and spread effectively through digital platforms. This affirms that cultural preservation can be achieved through creativity, adaptation, and innovation - demonstrating the proactive cultural dynamism of Vietnamese youth in the age of globalization. I argue that Ngô Thì Sĩ’s commentary reveals a historiographical mindset which presupposed the historicity of certain non-human entities while rejecting various details in the historical record regarding these entities and their role in Việt antiquity. Thus, Ngô Thì Sĩ’s historiography in Việt sử tiêu án represented an eclectic variety of approaches which improved on existing modes of historical inquiry prevalent in eighteenth-century Tonkin without radically altering their underlying methodology. This allows us to contextualize Việt sử tiêu án alongside other eighteenth-century critiques of Đại Việt sử ký toàn thư 大越史記全書 and its primary compiler, Ngô Sĩ Liên 吳士連 (fl. fifteenth century).
