FACTORS AFFECTING PEPOLE'S HEALTH EXPENDITURES IN THE NORTH OF VIETNAM IN THE INDUSTRIAL CONTEXT

Abstract
The study examines the influence of environmental factor on health expenditures of people in Northern Vietnam, based on the 2016 VHLSS. Applying two-part model, the study showed some important results. Firstly, individual and household characteristics are impact on the individual's demand for medical services. Secondly, the study found that purchasing health insurance decreased health expenditure of patient. Thirdly, air pollution is considered as one of the important factors that increase health spending. The study gave some policy recommendations for state agencies.
