SHORT FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN MODEL IN VIETNAM'S AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article examines how to develop and perfect a short agricultural supply chain model in Vietnam from a variety of perspectives. The article analyzed the context and situation of the short agricultural supply chain using concepts, characteristics, and surveys from 200 samples, including farmers and consumers. The article pointed out that the interest in the consumption of local food is increasing because consumers realize that choosing this product not only saves intermediate costs but also buys at a reasonable price, using quality products, with clear origin. Farmers, achieve considerable profit when there is autonomy in determining prices. However, the challenge of ineffective input management, inadequate product quality, lack of investment capital, lack of technological equipment, limited transport infrastructure, and management and marketing skills are challenges that need to be overcome. Research helps farmers and businesses actively evaluate and recognize their roles, and make appropriate development strategies.
