SLEEP QUALITY OF NURSING STUDENTS AT THANG LONG UNIVERSITY IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-2024

Abstract
Objective: Describe the sleep quality of nursing students at Thang Long University in academic year 2022-2023. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted among all 209 full-time nursing students at Thang Long University, using PSQI and ESS scales to evaluate sleep quality. Result: 29.7% were second-year students, 87.6% were female. 67.9% of students lived in the urban. 32.5% of students had part-time jobs (1.6 ± 2.7 hours). Most students did not have exercising habit (68.9%) and the average exercise time was 36.09 ± 24.8 minutes. 44.0% did not use stimulants. The average time spent for social networks was 5.8 ± 3.3 hours. Nearly two-thirds students had good sleep quality (63.6%). The rate of students with normal daytime sleepiness was the highest (56.5%), the rates of mild and moderate sleepiness were 16.3% and 17.7%, respectively. Conclusion: 36.4% of students had poor sleep quality (PSQI>5)
