Abstract

"Dien che quan cap le” is the document from Nguyen dynasty issued by the Council regulating the division of communal land. The content of the document stipulates the levels of portions (ranging from 3-18) of public land in the village for different beneficiaries from the mandarins to the civilians, Royal Palace guards and elite soldiers, veterans, elderly people, orphans, widows.... This is the original document stored in the village; therefore, it is of great significance in the comparison study between the regulations issued by the Court recorded in the official history and the actual
implementation in the local community, revealing the interaction between the local and the central authorities.
